Payment processing

Law firm payment processing that gets you paid without chasing anyone.

Card and ACH payments that land in the right account, with trust rules respected.

Payment processing

Money that lands where it's supposed to.

Retainers go to trust, earned fees go to operating, and CaseFuze keeps the two from ever mixing.

  • Right account, always. Trust and operating stay separate by rule.
  • Fees off your IOLTA. Processing fees debit from operating, never from client funds.
  • Fewer follow-ups. Reminders chase invoices so you don't.
  • Predictable cash. Payment plans keep revenue steady.
Capabilities

Everything a law firm needs to take a payment.

Card, ACH, plans, and the compliance work around them, built into billing.

Card and ACH on every invoice

Each invoice carries a Pay Now button. The client clicks, pays by card or ACH, and the payment applies to the invoice while your accounting updates on the spot.

Trust deposits routed right

Retainers paid into trust route the way your jurisdiction requires, so trust funds and earned fees never land in the wrong account.

Payment plans that run themselves

Set a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule with equal or custom installments, then let CaseFuze charge the saved method on time.

Fraud checks on every charge

Address and CVV verification confirm the card, and velocity checks catch unusual payment patterns before they cost the firm.

Reporting and reconciliation

Daily deposit reports, card-versus-ACH breakdowns, and fee analysis by transaction type reconcile cleanly with your accounting systems.

Chargebacks handled for you

Get notified the moment a dispute hits, with invoices and engagement letters compiled as evidence and submitted to the card networks for you.

Global and multi-currency

Bill international clients in their currency and settle in yours. CaseFuze converts at daily exchange rates, so a payment in CAD or EUR lands as clean USD on your books.

Take payment from your phone

Process a card or ACH payment from CaseFuze on the phone in your pocket, so you can close out a client at the courthouse or on a home visit rather than back at a desk.

Payment history per client

Open any client to see every payment, the date, amount, and method, each tied to the invoice it cleared, so answering "did that get paid?" takes one look.

Trust compliance

Fees come out of operating. Your IOLTA stays clean.

Take a processing fee out of a trust deposit and you have spent client money on a firm expense, which is the kind of thing that starts a bar complaint. CaseFuze deposits the client's full payment into your IOLTA account and debits the fee from your operating account, so the trust ledger shows what the client paid and nothing else.

  • The full amount reaches trust. A $5,000 retainer arrives in the IOLTA account as $5,000, with nothing shaved off the top.
  • Fees hit the operating account. Processing costs post where firm expenses belong, on their own line, ready for your bookkeeper.
  • Reconciliation gets boring. Bank statement, trust ledger, and client balances agree without a correcting entry to explain at audit.
Lower fees

More of each payment stays in the firm.

Most legal software charges 3 to 4 percent per transaction because it resells another company's processor and marks up the rate. On $2M processed a year, that markup runs $30,000 to $50,000. CaseFuze charges 2.75 percent, and 2.25 percent for higher-volume firms, because it runs its own payment infrastructure and there is no middleman margin to cover.

  • 2.75%, or 2.25% at volume. American Express is accepted at the same rate as Visa and Mastercard rather than surcharged.
  • We own the rails. Processing is built in, not resold, so there's no third-party margin baked into your rate.
  • No surprise costs. Payment processing is included in the subscription, with no setup fees and no monthly minimums.
  • PCI Level 1 secured. Card data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and tokenization keeps card numbers out of logs and records.
